Food Tech - Making Mini Quiche

Today we made Mini Quiches for Daniel, Justin and myself. I thought we were going to make Normal Burgers but we made quiches instead. First we had to cut the pastry into 9 pieces and make three more with the leftovers. Second we had to dice the the ham and put it back into the bowl so it can be ready when we need it. Then we put the small pastry into the muffin tray and flattened it to the bottom. We then put the diced ham on top of the pastry and then the cheese on top of the ham. We tipped the egg and milk that we whisked before on the cheese and ham equally. this was the result of our cooking below.

Food Tech: Making Burger Buns

Today in Food Tech, we made Burger Buns. We had to follow the instructions for the class. 1. Follow instructions. 2. How to read ingredients. 3. How to measure the ingredients correctly. Now all we had to do was to follow the instructions to make it.

Burger Bun
Task 1:
Step 1: 1 and 1/2 Cups of Plain Flour
Step 2: 1 Packet of Yeast
Step 3: 1/2 Cups of Warm Water
Step 4: 2 Tbsp of Sugar
Step 5: 1/2 of Tsp of Salt
Step 6: 1/2 Cups of Oil
Step 7: 1 egg

Task 2:
Mix together and leave for 30 mins and then bake it for 15 mins 180c

Cooking Muffins - FTE

15/05/18

Today for Food Tech, we made muffins(Chocolate Chip Muffins). I didn't know we were going to make muffins until the last minute. First of all, we had to add 1 and 1/2 cups of self rising flour, then add 1/2 cup of sugar, add 1 egg, add 1/3 cups of cocoa, 1/2 cups of milk, 1 teaspoon  of vanilla essence, 1 cup of oil and then we had 50 grams of choc. We are the ones who finished it first with my partner Justin Talafasi. It doesn't look professional but we still continued to make it despite how it looks.

Cooking: Food Tech - 2018

Today we started cooking and we cooked pancakes. Mrs Tuipulotu thought we were quite loud but we still finished in the end. We learnt how to cook it and not make it BURNT like I always do at home. We had to follow instructions and these were the instructions below.
1. Hot Cake:
1. 1-1/2 cup of flour
2. 1/2 cup of sugar
3. 1 cup of milk
4. 1 egg

2.Mix well using whisk:
1. Heat up pan using oil
2. 2 cakes at a time
3. Wait until bubbles to appear of the face of the pancake, than flip it over when it is golden brown.

Our result wasn't great as we expected it to be but we still had a go and this is what it looks like.

First Day: FTE

Today is the first day of Food Tech for 10Tsp in 2018. We didn't cook anything because Mrs Tuipulotu said that she doesn't cook on the first day because it is supposed to be for introduction, putting us in groups and checking if our class knows the equipment's in the kitchen.Image result for food equipment
