Hi my name is Sam, I am a Tongan. I was born New Zealand, at Greenlane hospital. I am year 8. I go to a School called Glenbrae School. My fear is Natural disaster’s and big gross stuff like dead rats.

I like to play Rugby with my friends, my family, my classmates and my Rugby union team. My brother’s also likes to play Rugby and they go to the same Rugby club as me called Varsity. My Dad use to play rugby when he was a little boy. My mum use to play sport games in the pacific. My day played rugby league first until his coach introduced him to Rugby Union. My dad played rugby up to his 20’s.

At school my favorite subject is sometimes Maths but mostly Fitness. In school my houses color is Kowhai. I like to play outdoor activities, inside activities and games in my spare time. My favorite color is purple and blue.

Recount on Ripper Rugby

On Tuesday, March 15, 2016, A person from Varsity came to our school to play Ripper Rugby. The Ripper Rugby coaches name is Matt. He plays rugby for his own team too.

Ripper Rugby is a cool game, you have a belt that you can wrap around your waist. Once you have the belt on you have 2 tags that stick on to your belt.  There are two teams and the way to win is to get more points than the other team. You can only stay in the cones or you will go out and you will hand over the ball to the other team. You have only 40 minutes to play and you have a break at half time.

We learnt how to catch the ball by putting up our hands and calling them out so they can pass the ball to you.

I felt that we should train some more because we always dropped the ball when we were going to catch it. Heaps of people need to learn how to catch too.

Butter Chicken / Description

Butter Chicken is orange and it has a delightful taste. It smells like butter and some chicken that's why it. It is a exquisite look and has a beautiful look too. I can make people to eat it because is Beautiful and has a wonderful taste and a sense of smell. It can smell better if you add a little bit of mint on the top of the butter Chicken. It is good and bad to eat butter chicken because it fills up your stomach with delightful chicken and butter. When you eat Butter Chicken when it is still hot, it can burn your tongue and it will be sore so that’s why I eat it warm. When you eat butter chicken it can come with Garlic Bread, butter chicken sauce, rice and different kinds of spice.

 

Dear Ms Stone And Mrs Tofa

Malo Lelei my name is Sam. I am 12 years old. I was born at Greenlane hospital, November the 2nd, 2003. I am a Tongan and my parents are also Tongan too.

I have five younger siblings. Their names are Loto, Saia, Mason and Bailey. They all go to school but I said I have five siblings oh yeah my baby brother’s name is Ben.

So a good day at school is when the whole class is doing their own work. I also think a good day at school is when we finish our work and when the teachers are happy and well respected.

I like to watch movies because it can be funny, and scary. I like to watch all kinds of movies like horror, Action movies and my favourite racing movies.

I think a good day at school is when we play fun games with my friends and mostly my class mates.

On this gently pulsing deck I lie,

gazing down into

the infinite depths

of a night sky.

For every star in our galaxy

is reflected on a polished sea.

Stars above

stars below

all sense of earth is disappearing.

Lost in the Forest

Lost in the rain forest written by Sonya Stoneman is a about the story about a plane crash close by a village in the forest.The main character’s were Jade and Matthew.

Matthew and Jade were in a plane and something went wrong with the engine. When Jade and Matthew looked outside, they saw the engine on fire. Jade and Matthew went out of the plane. They saw that everyone was dead, so they left. Jade and Matthew went to a river, they thought that they will follow the river in hope of finding a village.

When Matthew went to follow the river, he saw a broken branch from a big tree that was lying across the river. Jade and Matthew went on to the branch and walked over it and across the river. At the end of the river Matthew and jade stopped for some berries at the toucans.the river had stopped, they stopped for some berries from the toucans.

They moved further into the forest. Jade and Matthew were completely lost. They went straight ahead through the jungle. Finally they saw a village. Next Matthew asked the village man for shelter and for some food . Matthew used hand signals like rubbing his tummy and touching his mouth.

Later on, they went to play with the kids and the animals close by to the village. Jade and Matthew’s Dad went to look for there kids. Dad saw the smoke coming from the forest and went to the kids at the village. Dad came with a rescue party and took the kids back home.
